Mike Teel
Pastor
I was born in Chickasha, Oklahoma at Grady County Memorial Hospital. I grew up in Rush Springs, Oklahoma about 20 miles south of Chickasha.
I attended Rush Springs Public School through High School. I spent 1 year at Oklahoma State University and then spent 3 years at the University of Oklahoma School of Engineering. I completed my degree at Cameron University with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics/Psychology.
I married Yvette Blundell from Marlow, Oklahoma on December 29, 1978.
We have two grown sons Timothy and Daniel.
I came to Cameron Baptist on April 23, 1978 as Youth Pastor. I later served as Associate Pastor with responsibilities for Singles, Administration and Evangelism.
On October 7, 2013, I assumed the Senior Pastor role. I love the diversity of our people who make up Cameron and their willingness to serve their Lord sacrificially.
I enjoy most sports. I have been a runner most of my adult life. I completed 3 marathons. The gift of Service is my spiritual gift so I love serving others.
Romans 10:1 is a favorite verse of mine. I read this verse this way: Brothers, my hearts desire and prayer to God for Lawton is that they might be saved. I desire seeing people's lives changed through a personal relationship with Christ - just like how my life was changed.
